A First Date

Aahna waited nervously outside the cinema, ticket already in hand, her coat and scarf pulled tightly around her as she looked around for Nero. Nervous was, in fact, probably the best way to describe her at the moment. She wasn’t exactly sure what had compelled her to ask Nero out on this date, and yet here she was, waiting for him to arrive at the movie theatre. Sure, he was cute, and sweet…but her mind was definitely on other things. 

Being new to the art of driving had cost Nero his punctuality, but only by a few minutes. He had taken an accidental turn into Covent Garden, then needed to go right around the Opera House just to get back on route. Pulling his petite white Nissan into the Odeon car park, he finds a space and parks up before hurridley approaching the entrance double doors - where Aahna is waiting for him.

He smiles to greet her, putting his keys into his pocket. “You didn’t have to wait for me out here, it’s freezing.”

She smiles sweetly, “It’s ok, I don’t mind.” She shuffles a little awkwardly from foot to foot, waiting for him to say something, before turning to head inside. “I’m going to go grab some popcorn. Would you like some?”
